Program - Gwen Colman - Empowerment through textiles in Bhutan
Gwen will talk about the Happiness Village of Umsang and how the weavers there overcame poverty, the Centre for Appropriate Technology and Zero Waste weaving programs GPI helped found, and the network of amazing women across Southeast Asia who are building a future through textile-based and rural livelihoods. She will have slides and film clips to illustrate.
