Loomsong was the Guild's newsletter. First published in 1971, it was generally published 8 times per year with 2 special sample issues.
LoomSong has now been discontinued with the last issue being May/June 2018. Announcements and meeting minutes will be posted on this web site.
Log in to see back issues of Loomsong listed by years. We are slowly digitizing our older issues.
Twice a year, there is a special sample issue. Why not contribute a sample? ASH pays an honorarium for all contributions.
Fabric samples can be 2 – 4 inches square; at least 3 inches is preferred. Edges should be finished with stitching or tape. Spinning samples can be small finger-‐wrapped or folded micro skeins. Fibre samples can be stuffed into little zip bags ($1.00 at a dollar store).
Quantity: 110 pieces per sample per issue. Include a written description of the work, weave draft, pattern name and source reference where appropriate. Spinners should include information about the fibre(s) used, and perhaps a comment on their spinning experience with this material.
Send samples and info to Wendy Landry at any time but preferably in time for January or June .
