WEAVERS and other Fibre Enthusiasts!
The Feast Day of the Patron Saint of Weavers
Join us in person for a special Fibre Day at Scott Manor House in Bedford (10:00am-2pm) with your current weaving, spinning or other fibre project for some conversation and fibre friendship. We love any occasion that involves our fibre passions, and October 24th is the feast day of a 19th century master weaver from Spain named St. Anthony Marie Claret.
To celebrate weaving in all its forms, please feel free to bring any projects in progress, finished woven items or just your curiosity. Card weaving? Inkle loom weaving? Rigid heddle weaving? Shaft loom weaving? Come see it all!
We’ll have special treats to celebrate the day, but you are welcome to bring any munchies you like to add to the festivities. (Nut-free is preferred!)
This special Fibre Day will have games, treats and prizes, and is held in conjunction with the special Hands-On Open House, featuring displays, demonstrations and tryouts on selection of spinning, fading, and weaving equipment available to rent from the guild.
Please bring $3 to help defray the cost of Scott Manor House usage.
